APADRAVYA
Estimated time of healing: 8 - 10 weeks.

This Piercing was mentioned for the first time in the Kama Sutra (the old Indian bible of love).
It’s performed vertically through the head of the penis. Since the jewel must pass through the urethra, an already existing Prince Albert Piercing is the ideal situation. Accordingly, and if this is not the case, then consider a PA as the first step. We recommend a bar, since a ring must have a somewhat large diameter to be placed here.
During the healing, the urine also serves to clean this piercing from the inside. Usually, the healing is uneventful if an Apadravya is performed on a cut penis. However, the foreskin may provoke some unpleasant symptoms during the initial few weeks. In such cases, this may be reduced by repeatedly retracting the foreskin. Be careful not to do this too long each time, due to the risk of a swollen penis head and thus hindering the foreskin to be pulled back. This is particularly of consideration if the foreskin is already constricted. Furthermore, regular pressure of the foreskin may result in a slow skewing of the piercing, so please be aware of this complication.
Quite often, an Apadravya is stimulating for both the male and the female. Provided that the balls are firmly screwed to the rod, and the bar has the proper length, the risk of an injury to a condom or pessary (diaphragm) is quite low.
In principle, such a bar should never be removed - even for a short period of time, unless complications do occur, or you do not want to keep it any longer. The pierced channel retracts quite rapidly, so that inserting the jewel again may be quite difficult or not possible any longer. Occasionally, the channel may be sufficiently reopened by introducing a pointed sprig and thereby guiding the jewel in its place again. If the bar is removed before complete healing has taken place, rapid healing will be the result leaving only a nearly invisible scar on the head of the penis.

To the left you see both a Prins Albert and a Inverse Prins Albert, when both the rings are removed you can put in a barbell and you have a Apadrayva.
