BUTTERFLY
Estimated time of healing: 8 - 10 weeks
This is a relatively new Piercing. It’s placed on the front side of the neck at the top of the breastbone (sternum), also rendering it quite exposed to pushes and strokes. Therefore, a butterfly may undergo complicated healing, resulting in unsatisfactory scarring. To minimize such a risk, we recommend a jewel made of PFTE and as a bar being a few mm longer than the channel of the Piercing. PTFE is quite flexible and bendable, thereby counteracting the consequences of all the strokes and pushes.
Please notice that following the instructions a general advice and proper cleaning after a Piercing is very important to secure this piercing a reasonable chance of proper healing.
