This Piercing is a relatively new one, named after Erl van Akeen, who was the first to pierce through the skin at the top of the nose right in between the eyes.
Through a piercing at this location, a bar should be inserted, being a few mm longer than the inner channel to secure proper cleaning of the jewel. We recommend a flexible and bendable material such as PTFE.
This piercing is quite exposed to pulls and strokes, and thereby implying a certain risk of disfiguring scaring or of being torn out. Proper healing therefore takes a lot of precautions.
