FRENUM (Frenulum)
Time of healing: 3 - 5 weeks.
This
Piercing is done through two holes at the backside of the penis shaft, just
under the head and round the back of the ligament. A misunderstanding may be to
pierce through the thin ligament located here between the head and the shaft of
the penis. This is a small fibrous string serving to anchor the foreskin into
the penis head, so that the foreskin can resist being pulled up and down during
intercourse and other actions. Sooner or later, a jewel right through the frenum
may cause a rupture of this ligament, leaving a much less resistant and scarred
string. Accordingly the Piercing is performed more deeply, and as stated above,
round behind the frenum.
Should you wish to have both a Prince Albert and a Frenum Piercing, this latter one must be placed sufficiently low down to allow free space for the PA jewel, so that it is not in its way for the other one.
