GUICHE

Time of healing: 6 - 8 weeks.

The origin of this piercing - placed between the ball sack and the anus - is a manly ritual of puberty from the Samoa Islands in the Pacific Ocean, to clearly mark the transition from boy to man.

The Guiche has become popular among somewhat special enthusiasts. Most commonly, the jewel is a ring. During the time of healing, there may be an unpleasant stabbing pain. In order to prevent some of this and also to protect the Piercing, you may place some soft tissue around the jewel, such as a cloth, a sanitary towel, etc. Even when it is completely healed and consolidated, you may experience discomfort. A Guiche is of course not so suitable to cyclists, horsemen and so forth.
