Puble (pubic)
Time of healing: 2 - 4 weeks.
This
piercing is located at the root of the penis right over the pubic bone. More
than one jewel may be inserted here, in a ladder-like pattern along a vertical
line in the middle. Visually, such a piercing may be quite appealing and nice,
although you must be aware of a substantial risk of quite slow healing and
ultimately, it may be rejected. A successful outcome is most likely, if a
single ring is inserted exactly as mentioned in the first statement.
The most suitable jewel is a ring of a proper size, although a rod is also an option, and particularly after complete healing is achieved.
Not far away from the proper location of this piercing, there are some very important structures: the central vein and at both sides, the main artery and nerve of the penis. Injury of these may result in serious functional trouble. So be sure to be in the hands of a knowledgeable and skilful piercer.
